INTRODUCING THE
RICHMOND/ERMET AID FOUNDATION'S
REAF’s founders, the late Barbara Richmond and Peggy Ermet, envisioned a world without AIDS when they created this agency. REAF’s focus has always been, and continues to be, to support AIDS services until there is a cure. With recent advancements in HIV treatments and promising research for a cure however, REAF has expanded our focus areas of what we support andalso supports programs that provide food for the needy and programs that support homeless and disenfranchised youth in addition to continued funding for HIV programs in the SF
Bay Area.
Beneficiaries for our 2020 events include Project Open Hand, Raphael House, and Black Lives Matter.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not anticipate being able to produce any in-theater events through the end of 2020 and look forward to when we are able to resume these sometime in 2021 when it is safe to do so. Until such time, we will continue to produce our events virtually online. Please check back often for updated details about these events.
FEBRUARY 7-11:REAF Valentine Online Silent Auction sponsored by AmFund.
FEBRUARY 13: All You Need is Love: REAF Virtual Valentine's Spectacular, Live Streamed on YouTube Live.
Covid-19 is real and we encourage everyone to follow CDC guidelines until this pandemic as subsided and the CDC has instructed us it is safe to leave our homes and socialize. PLEASE follow their guidelines and wash your hands frequently, especially if you have been outside and use hand sanitizers as well. Practice social distancing by keeping at least 6' to 10' distance between you and anyone else you have not been sheltered with at home.
REAF has cancelled our 2020 in-theater events but is currently making plans for several virtual events and hoping to return to in-theater events in 2021. This will not be an easy time for REAF as we will no longer have our usual operating funds coming in for the foreseeable future and we are doing all we can to minimize expenses as well as introduce new ways to obtains funds. We expect to announce some news ways to support REAF while sheltering-in-place and also enjoy great entertainment while doing so.
PLEASE, stay safe, stay healthy and find effective ways to stay sane. Reach out to friends and family to ensure they are ok and remember, we are all in this together. We all need each other and we need to look after each other. The entertainment industry has been hit hard by this virus and many performers we have enjoyed over the years no longer have income. Please support local theater and performers in any ways you can. They will be here for you when this is all over.

All REAF events feature live and/or silent auctions to help offset the costs of productions and increase revenue to our beneficiary partners. Donors to our auctions receive recognition on our event website as well as onsite in the auction and in the auction handout at the gala. Live auction donations are also promoted from the stage during the auction as well as special promotions through social media. To make a donation to one of our live or silent auction packages, email us at auctions@richmondermet.org or click the link below to download a donation form.
