Cathedral City Senior Center is the community’s center for health and wellness initiatives in the Coachella Valley, especially for underserved populations of Cathedral City and Mid-Valley. We've evolved beyond traditional senior care to become a dynamic intergenerational community resource. Central to our mission is our Food Bank, which aids 400 families each week, providing not just food, but dignity and connection. In a community where social services are scarce and 60% of the populace faces linguistic and economic challenges, our center is a home-away-from-home, and for some, we’re a lifeline. Our strategic efforts, notably the Edmundo & Herlinda Carrillo Equity in Aging Initiative, have expanded our reach, making significant strides in inclusivity and service provision. Our core commitments are:
Combating Isolation: We're dedicated to breaking the cycle of loneliness by fostering a network of support through various programs and activities.
Holistic Well-being: We offer comprehensive activities focused on physical and mental health, ensuring every individual we serve leads a balanced life.
Access to Services: With a steadfast dedication to providing essential services, we ensure our community's needs for food security and social services are met.
Cathedral Center is more than just a facility; it's the community meeting place, driving change and improving lives in Cathedral City and beyond.
