RICHMOND/ ERMET AID FOUNDATION (REAF) OVERVIEW  

The Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation (REAF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that raises funds for local community organizations through the production of quality entertainment fundraising events. Proceeds from these events are given as grants to selected beneficiaries in the community.  Areas of focus include HIV/AIDS services, hunger programs, and programs for homeless and disenfranchised youth.

REAF’s fundraising events featuring many stars from the Broadway stage, film, television, and the recording industry. Events include a flagship concert and gala titled Help is on the Way; a similar holiday-themed concert titled Help is on the Way for the Holidays; an ongoing One Night Only benefit cabaret series of performances featuring the casts of touring Broadway Shows; and Broadway Bares: San Francisco Strips, a burlesque-style strip show in partnership with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

 REAF is proud to have provided more than $4 million in funding to support local non-profit agencies since its inception, and that 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales have always gone directly to its beneficiary agencies.


REAF’S EMERGENCE IN PALM SPRINGS will support
​local charities in the cochella valley

After 26 years of producing outstanding, highly anticipated events in San Francisco, REAF is expanding to support Palm Springs and Coachella Valley non-profit organizations through fundraising events, starting in 2022. REAF-PS aims to raise funds for HIV/AIDS services, food/hunger programs, underserved seniors, and theater and arts programs. We are currently recruiting individuals to serve on a REAF-Palm Springs Management Committee to help manage these Palm Springs fundraising events.  Anticipated programs for Palm Springs include:

  • Help is on the Way - Palm Springs: San Francisco’s iconic benefit show will be reimagined for Palm Springs and feature stars from Broadway, Hollywood, and the best of local talent all to benefit local Palm Springs non-profit agencies. This exciting show will be presented in a traditional theater setting.
  •  House Party Series: A series of chic, fun receptions at beautiful Palm Springs homes featuring Ketel One cocktails, fabulous hors d’oeuvres and amazing talent in intimate settings. Local hosts will open their beautiful homes to a limited number of guests for elegant evenings of cocktails and fun to benefit local causes.
  •  Special Performance Events: One-night special events featuring a variety of comedians, dancers and singers will be presented in more intimate theatrical settings.

REAF-Palm Springs is now in the planning stages and
WE NEED YOUR HELP.


REAF-PS is a volunteer-run non-profit organization that relies on individuals and businesses to support on our fundraising events. REAF-PS is seeking individuals, local businesses, and corporations to help us plan and produce fundraising events in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.


VOLUNTEER

We are currently recruiting individuals to serve on a REAF-Palm Springs Management Committee to help manage our Palm Springs fundraising events. Volunteer positions can be short-term (e.g., volunteer for an event) or on-going (such as serving on a committee or volunteering at multiple events), and include:


  • Become a Management Committee Member – help coordinate various task areas, including auction, box office, database/email list management, décor/staging, food and beverage, marketing/public relations, transportation and lodging, photography/videography, and volunteer coordination.
  • Join a Committee – Administration, Auction Team, Event Staging/Décor, Food & Beverage, Lodging & Transportation, Marketing/Public Relations, Photography/Videography, Volunteer Team.
  • Serve the Host Committee/Become an Ambassador – serve as a REAF-PS Ambassador by lending your name to the REAF-PS Host Committee to help promote events and sell tickets.
  • Become an Event Volunteer – sign up for the REAF-PS volunteer email list to keep informed of upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
  • Join the REAF-PS Email List – sign up for the REAF-PS email list to keep informed of upcoming events.


HOUSE PARTY HOST
Offer your home as a venue for a REAF-PS House Party to help raise awareness and funds for our events. REAF-PS provides the entertainment and marketing/promotion; you provide the venue, food, and beverages.


AUCTION SUPPORT

Most REAF-PS events offer live and/or auctions that include donations from local businesses. We would love to highlight your business, products and services to the REAF-PS community while raising funds for local non-profit agencies in your community.
